Fourth of July Adventure at Blue Heron WN49

Blue Heron is a privately owned grass strip here in Sequim, along the Strait. It’s owner, Kathy, is super friendly and encourages visitors, as long as they call first and sign her waiver.

She invited EAA members Barry and Tracy Halsted and Ernie and Jeanne Hansen to attend her annual 4th of July BBQ. It was a spectacular and fun day. The weather was perfect, the strip is im-maculate, and the food included New England boil with shrimp, plus fresh Maine lobsters. Can’t get much better than that!
