Topics from the last meeting included instrument approaches and when to descend (IMC), an inflight alternator failure (VMC), the videos “Where’s the airport?” and “Fun with flaps,” and the Dynamic Regulatory System. The September slide deck and videos are now on the IMC/VMC Club page.

Fly-outs October Fly-Out to Forks (S18)

With an exceptional stretch of weather, our October fly-out heads to Forks on Thursday, October 15. Forks (S18) is about 60 miles WSW of Sequim Valley (W28), with a scenic flight path and a 2,400 ft hard-surface runway. Meet in the aircraft parking area at 12:30 PM, then it is a short 10-minute walk east to the Mill Creek Bar and Grill for lunch. More details to follow by email.

In accordance with FAA regulations, the pilot in command (PIC) is always responsible to conduct a legal and safe operation.
