The Bremerton EAA 406 Chapter vice-president, Mike Friend, invited Barry to give his Saffire presentation to their chapter, and this occurred May 8th at 6 pm. Luckily the weather cooperated and we were able to fly Saffire over to Bremerton International, a quick 42 nautical mile 17 minute flight. Before the presentation they had a potluck and a “graduation” ceremony for their Build and Fly team members.

The presentation went great, and there were lots of questions. Following the presentation everyone went out to the ramp to examine Saffire and ask more questions.

We needed to be back before dark in order to land at our home airport, Rakes Glen, where there are no runway lights. So, at 8 pm we reluctantly said our goodbyes and took off. It was a gorgeous evening flight back, as the sun was setting.

Here we are turning downwind at Rakes Glen, at exactly 8:30 PM. A successful and fun experience. Having fun with airplanes. That’s what it’s all about.
