Greetings fellow aviation enthusiasts! Holiday Greetings!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. I’m feeling very thankful this year as my Christmas present came early…..a new plane! Lisa and I just flew back from Deming, NM with a new to me Glasair Sportsman.

Now I can carry three Young Eagles at a time!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at our Holiday Party on the winter solstice (Dec 21) starting at 5pm. It’s our biggest party of the year. Not only do we get a fancy meal and good company, but we get to recognize the people who keep our chapter gold.

We are right in the middle of the birthing pains of our proposed chapter hangar. The building committee was hoping to have a proposal by the holiday party, but it will stretch into next year. But soon! Very soon!

I would like to thank Scott Fitzgerald for his efforts with our chapter and for being our communications chair. Scott recently resigned the position and will be replaced by Erik Peterson. Eric’s job as Membership Chair will be combined with the Treasurer and Tracy will do both. I’m also excited to announce that Linda Priddle has joined the board of directors as the Newsletter Editor. This is her first newsletter. Thanks to everyone who volunteers for the good of all.

I’m energized about all that we accomplished as a chapter this past year and excited about what will happen in 2025.
