- Treasury - Our financial picture reflects funds of approximately $7500 for scholarship, $150k for building and $4000 for operating.
- Membership stands at 109.
- Our Holiday Party is December 21, 1700 at 7 Cedars. Sit-down dinner. Toys-for-Tots will be collecting unwrapped git donations.
- Fly-out - Barry Halsted reported that the November flyout to Forks attracted 9 planes and 15 attendees. Look ahead for a December flyout to Arlington.
- Build and Fly - Richard Howell reported that EAA 430, working closely with Olympic Silent Flyers (OSF), managed an aviation presentation to Sequim Boys and Girls Club - a quick talk, followed by hand out of Guillow’s balsa gliders and some indoor R/C flying in the gym. Pretty much fun. We’re still looking forward to holding at least a couple of hands-on workshops for kids and parents in near future.
New Business:
- EAA 430 logo hats are on the way! They’ll be available for $20 each.
- Scholarship - EAA 430 has submitted our chapter application to administer a Ray Foundation Scholarship for 2025. Once our application is approved, Jazmin Stamper will apply (ater January 1) to be our candidate for the flight training benefit. Scholarship Chair Dave Miller provided a brief review of the basics of how Ray Scholarships work.
- Gunner Rogers, our 2024 Ray Scholarship recipient, has reported that he’s flying a lot and is working on his instrument and commercial ratings at U. ND.

- Projects
- James Russell - Completed a condition inspection of a Zenith CH750 and got to go for a flight that demonstrated “impressive deck angle” during climb. James carefully worked up (wrote) a proper Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircrat. He’s been working on various parts for his own Cozy Mk IV and also for Erik Petersens Cozy.
- Ray Ballantyne has been busy with rework and paint for the wingtips of his GlaStar. Ray also shared exciting news that he’s acquired a Glasair Sportsman!
- Kevin Widdowson - (Richard Howell reported) Kevin has just collected the fuselage of his new Bristell Classic from the paint shop and delivered the wings to get their paint.
- Thanks to Scott Fitzgerald for his contributions to EAA 430 as our Communications Director, as he retires from his position.
